Lip care tips : How to get naturally pink lips

We all use a number of lipsticks, glosses and other products so that our lips look plump, pink and soft. But what if you can have the dreamy lips naturally and for your whole life as nature is eternal. Therefore here are some tips that I have followed in the past few years of my life. These tips are really helpful and effective:

1.       Lip Scrub

As you all know, I really don’t promote any products in my blog. In fact, I suggest natural products that wouldn’t harm your skin and/or hair. Therefore, for a lip scrub I highly recommend the honey sugar scrub. All you have to do is mix 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar with ½ teaspoon of honey. Mix well and apply on your lips. Now rub gently for at least 30 seconds to rush blood circulation to your lips. Now wash off. This will definitely give you beautifully plump, pink and soft lips. Make sure that you grind the sugar at home because the powdered sugar available in the market is too fine to make a good scrub but the sugar we grind at home is a little coarse and hence makes a brilliant scrub.

2.       Moisturize

Applying a creamy lip balm to your lips is as important as wearing sunscreen. I recommend petroleum jelly for moisturizing your lips. The other lip balms that are meant for giving a nice colour to your lips might dry them up. Moreover applying these lip balms regularly can  even tan your lips. Therefore wear a transparent lip balm such as petroleum jelly.

3.       Drinking water

If you want those dreamy lips, drinking plenty of water is the most important step. Not drinking enough water will dry your lips hence making them chapped and wrinkled. Therefore you must drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily and keep yourself hydrated. If possible, have coconut water once a week to keep your body hydrated. Coconut water not only increases metabolism but also nourishes your skin and hair.

4.       Massage

Massage your lips at least once a week with an oil rich in vitamin e. I highly recommend using olive oil or coconut oil for massage. Massage your lips for at least a minute before washing the oil away. If possible, add vitamin e oil in the massage oil you use.

Additional Tip : If not necessary, do not use lipstick. Wear lipstick only occasionally and not on a daily basis. And stay connected to delighTales.
