Until 2 years ago, I had a lot of dark spots and pimples on my face. It looked really bad and itched like crazy. But a little change in my daily routine made my skin flawless ( I am not bragging 😅). Let’s talk about what I did :
1. Moisturize
No matter what your skin type is : Dry or Oily, just moisturize. Using the correct moisturizer that suits your skin can cure pimples and prevent your skin from being extra oily or extra dry.
2. Maintain cleanliness
Wash your face with a soap or a face wash (whichever suits you) once in the morning and once before sleeping everyday. Additionally keep rinsing you face with cold/normal water throughout the day and pat dry to avoid germs.
3. Avoid cosmetics
‘Natural beauty is the real beauty.’ Avoid using sunscreen, foundation, concealer, compact bb cream, cc cream, blush etc. for some time. These have very harsh chemicals and fragrances that harm our skin. Avoid using these for at least 3-4 months. This will not only cure your pimples but also make your skin look younger and healthier.
4. Home remedies
Many people think that home remedies are very complicated or bygone but ‘Old is gold.’ home remedies ask for a lot but are worth a try. They have no harsh chemicals and all that our body needs. My personal suggestion for a home remedy to cure pimples is ‘UPTAN.’ How to make it?
Take :
2 teaspoons of gram flour.
1 pinch of turmeric powder.
1 capsule of vitamin e oil (optional)
1 tablespoon of curd – if you have oily skin
OR
1 tablespoon of malai (fresh cream) – if you have dry skin.
Mix all the ingredients to form a thick paste and apply on your face and neck. Leave for 5-10 minutes and wash with cold/ normal water. Do this twice a week. I find this the best home remedy for a clean skin.
5. Perspire
Exercise releases sweat from your body which actually is very beneficial. The oil and dirt, present deep down in our skin pores, get realised along with the sweat. So make sure to get sweaty.
6. Drink enough water.
Lack of water also causes pimples. Have at 8-10 glasses of water everyday to get a healthier skin.
